Life…

…has been interesting and busy lately. Thank god I’m not letting it stress me out. I think it’s healthier this way, rolling with the punches. I can’t imagine how I’d be right now had I let everything overwhelm me. I’ve been taking a Stress and Coping class at my university which has helped a lot. I’ve learned so much about the brain and how/why the body does what it does. It’s all about your perception of an event which leads to stress. I think that’s important to remember. If you view your stressors as a challenge, your mind takes on a totally different perspective. The mind is powerful but it’s easily tricked.

I’ve been living with this mindset for the last few weeks. Try it yourself. It’s almost become invaluable. And it’s worth it. It really is. And that busy feeling makes me feel like I’m doing something with my life. THAT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Even if I can’t get it all done I know I’ll be just fine. :)

So how do you deal with stress? I’d love to know. Do you think your means of coping is effective or ineffective? Why? Just some things to think about.
